A Fiber Optic Termination Box (FTB)—also known as an optical termination box (OTB) or fiber patch panel—is a compact, protective housing used to terminate, splice, and manage fiber optic cables, typically connecting feeder cables to distribution cables or end-user equipment (ONTs).

Common types
Wall-mounted FTBs
Relatively small wall-mounted boxes work perfectly for limited spaces like residential apartments, SOHO offices, retail spaces etc. Their compact build takes up negligible room without compromising protection or organization. Most provide dust-proof and moisture-resistant sealing suitable for indoor applications.
Rack-mounted FTBs
These boxes are tailored to mount/stack on standard 19-inch wide server/network racks in high density data centers and networking rooms. Supports higher port counts for aggregating multiple fiber links. Accommodates fiber optic patch panels and other active/passive network hardware as well.
Outdoor FTBs
Hardened outdoor units safeguard delicate optical fiber components from harsh weather elements, airborne debris, pollutants etc. Use protective seals/boots, durable metallic exteriors and sun-resistant material to facilitate all-weather performance.
Product advantages
Fixing the Fiber Optic Cable - After the fiber optic cable enters the rack, the outer sheath and reinforcing core should be mechanically fixed, ground protection parts should be added, end protection treatment should be carried out, and the optical fiber could be grouped and protected by the fiber termination box.
Fusion Splicing Function - After fusion splicing of fiber optic cables and fiber pigtails, the excess fiber optic cables are coiled and stored, and the fusion splicing joints are protected.
Blending Function - The connector attached to the pigtail cable is plugged into the adapter and mated to the optical connector on the other side of the adapter to realize the optical path. The adapter and connector should be able to be inserted and removed flexibly; the optical path can be freely deployed and tested.
Storage function - Providing storage for a variety of cross-connections between the racks of optical connectors, so that they can be regular and neatly placed. Fiber splice box should have the appropriate space and way to make this part of the optical connection line clear, easy to adjust, and can meet the minimum bending radius requirements.
