GL-MST01-06 6-Port OptiTap MST Box
The GL-MST01-06 is a six-port outdoor Multiport Service Terminal (MST) for connecting distribution fibers to subscriber drop cables. Its IP68 enclosure measures 112 × 267.5 × 89 mm and provides hardened connection interfaces, with a cable-gland or hardened-adapter feeder entrance. Custom feeder lengths and stub-tail configurations support planned FTTH distribution points; specify the matching connector assembly and mounting kit for pole, pedestal, handhole or strand installation.

Six Hardened Ports for Outdoor Fiber AccessExternal drop connections with selectable feeder entrance and stub-tail configuration. Confirm the matching drop assembly and port-to-fiber map for the order. Model: GL-MST01-06 Protection: IP68 · Port count: 6 Published size: 112 × 267.5 × 89 mm |
Product Line: Outdoor Pre-connectorized Multiport Service Terminals
Catalogue family: Fiber Terminals → Multiport Service Terminals. The GL-MST01-06 is the six-port model in the GL-MST01 series, providing hardened drop connections at an outdoor distribution-to-subscriber node.
Network role: In the illustrated FTTP arrangement, splitting takes place at the Fiber Distribution Hub (FDH), and the MST connects the distribution cable to subscriber drops. Specify any required internal splitter as part of the approved circuit and configuration.
GL-MST01-06 MST Box Features
Six External Drop Connection Ports
Six externally accessible ports provide the connection positions for matched drop assemblies. With the approved pre-terminated configuration, an additional drop can be connected without opening the terminal enclosure. Record the numbered port-to-fiber map and unused-port sealing arrangement during commissioning.
Hardened Interface Configurations
The range lists hardened SC, hardened LC duplex and hardened MPO adapter options. Select the actual interface for the ordered assembly and match its mechanical housing, optical interface and cable plug. Port count and fiber count depend on that selected configuration; the listed options are not a mixed-port bill of materials.
Selectable Feeder Entrance and Stub
A cable gland or hardened-adapter entrance supports different feeder connection plans. Feeder fiber counts of 1, 2, 4, 6 or 8 cores and customized lengths are listed. Approve the input termination, fiber assignment and stub routing with the complete assembly drawing.
IP68 Enclosure for Outdoor Nodes
The terminal has a stated IP68 protection rating and a published size of 112 × 267.5 × 89 mm. Select the sealing components for the feeder and drop configuration, then confirm the required assembled test conditions. Keep inspection and cleaning procedures with the installation instructions.
Mounting Options for the Access Route
Pole, pedestal, handhole and strand mounting are listed in the specifications; wall and pole installation are also described. Specify the kit for the actual support structure, connector access and cable routing. Confirm bracket dimensions, fixing arrangements and clearance with the approved installation drawing.

MST Position in an FTTP Distribution Network

From Distribution Cable to Subscriber DropsFeeder cable → FDH with optical splitting → distribution cable → MST → drop cables → subscriber premises. The illustration shows pedestal, handhole and aerial MST locations. Select the mounting kit and connector arrangement for each installed node. This drawing shows an FTTP subscriber network. Any FTTA design requires its own equipment interface and optical-path confirmation. |
FTTH and FTTA Application Planning
FTTH Distribution-to-Drop Connections
At a neighborhood distribution point, adding subscriber drops can require repeated access to a sealed enclosure. The GL-MST01-06 provides six external hardened connection positions so matched pre-terminated drops can be connected at the port. In the illustrated FTTP architecture, place the terminal downstream of the FDH split and connect it to the planned distribution cable. Before ordering, confirm the feeder fiber count, port map, drop plug and optical budget. Identify any feeder splice work separately from subscriber drop connection, and approve the arrangement for unused ports and future service activation.
Pole, Pedestal, Handhole and Strand Routes
An access route may use several support structures, each with different space and cable-routing constraints. The listed mounting options let the same six-port model be specified for pole, pedestal, handhole or strand locations when the corresponding kit is approved. Position the MST at the distribution-to-drop node with access to each connected plug and the feeder exit. Confirm bracket geometry, fastening parts, cable support, bend limits and installation clearance. For handholes or exposed locations, define the required assembled IP68 test conditions and the inspection procedure for seals and mating surfaces before procurement.
FTTA Fiber Connections at Mobile Sites
Tower and rooftop links require connector assemblies matched to the radio equipment and the site fiber plan. The GL-MST01-06 description includes FTTA applications, while its adapter list includes hardened SC, LC duplex and MPO options. Position the selected configuration at the approved outdoor connection point between the distribution run and matched equipment leads. Before ordering, confirm the exact receiving interface, fiber mapping, duplex polarity or multifiber arrangement where applicable, feeder construction and mounting kit. Have the radio-link design define the optical path; an internal splitter is not established by the six-port enclosure specification.

Configuration FAQ
Does six ports mean six fibers in every configuration?
The six-port designation identifies external connection positions. Fiber allocation depends on the selected SC, LC duplex or MPO interface and the approved internal map. Confirm the feeder count and port-to-fiber schedule for the ordered assembly.
Is a PLC splitter included as standard?
The illustrated FTTP network uses splitting at the FDH. No internal splitter ratio is specified for this GL-MST01-06 configuration. Include a circuit drawing and the required splitter specification if the project needs splitting inside the terminal.
What supports cable management during maintenance?
A documented feeder route, numbered port map and identified drop leads help technicians trace connections and replace the correct cable. Keep matched connector parts, inspection instructions and the approved layout with the installation record.
