Key Features

Lockable IP65 Housing

The box is designed with a lockable protective housing for indoor and outdoor environments where dust and water protection are required.

16-Port Drop Cable Access

The front drop cable area supports 16 cable entrances, making it suitable for subscriber-side distribution in FTTH access networks.

Splicing and Splitting in One Box

The internal layout supports fiber splicing, PLC splitter installation, adapter termination and distribution inside one compact enclosure.

SC or LC Adapter Options

The box can allocate 16 × SC simplex adapters or 16 × LC duplex adapters, depending on the connector standard used in the project.

Controlled Fiber Bend Radius

The internal cable management design helps manage fibers under a reasonable routing condition with bend radius control more than 40 mm.

Easy Maintenance and Expansion

Integrated splice cassette and cable management rods make the internal routing clearer for installation, maintenance and capacity extension

Internal Structure and Cable Management

The GL-FDB-16B NAP box integrates a splice cassette and cable management rods to organize feeder cable, drop cable, splitters, adapters and remaining fibers inside the enclosure. This makes the box suitable for projects that require both protection and clear fiber routing.

  • Splice cassette for fusion splice or mechanical splice
  • Space for 2 pcs 1:8 PLC splitter or 1 pc 1:16 PLC splitter modular
  • Adapter area for SC simplex or LC duplex adapter configuration
  • Internal fiber path for reasonable bend radius control
  • 2 cable ports for 5–15 mm cable entry
  • 16 drop cable entrances for subscriber distribution
  • Cable management rods for clean routing and service access

Configuration Options

Different FTTH projects may require different loading configurations. Confirm the adapter, splitter and packaging requirement before quotation so the box can match the field installation plan.

Unloaded Box

Suitable when the project team will install adapters, pigtails or splitters locally based on field requirements.

Adapter-Loaded Box

Can be supplied with 16 × SC simplex adapters or 16 × LC duplex adapters for ready-to-use termination points.

Splitter-Loaded Box

Supports 2 pcs 1:8 PLC splitter or 1 pc 1:16 PLC splitter modular for FTTH optical splitting applications.

Applications

The NAP fiber box is designed for fiber access points where feeder or distribution cable needs to be protected, spliced and distributed to multiple subscriber drop cables.

FTTH Access Network

Used as a network access point for connecting feeder cable, PLC splitter output and subscriber drop cables in FTTH deployment.

Telecommunication Networks

Supports fiber termination, protected splicing and cable distribution in telecom access network construction.

CATV Networks

Can be used in CATV optical distribution routes where fiber needs to be terminated and distributed in a protected box.

Data Communications Networks

Suitable for access points that require organized fiber connection, cable management and passive optical distribution.

Installation Notes

GL-FDB-16B can be installed by wall mounting or pole mounting. During installation, the feeder cable, drop cables, adapters and splitters should be arranged according to the confirmed port map and project configuration.

  1. Select a stable wall or telecom pole according to the FTTH route design.
  2. Fix the box securely before routing the feeder cable and drop cables.
  3. Use the 5–15 mm cable ports for main cable entry according to cable size.
  4. Complete fusion splice or mechanical splice inside the splice cassette.
  5. Install the PLC splitter module when optical splitting is required.
  6. Connect SC or LC adapters and organize remaining fiber with proper bend radius control.
  7. Close the housing and check the sealing position before final handover.
Actual adapter, splitter, accessory and packaging configuration may vary by project order. Use the confirmed drawing, sample approval and final BOM as the delivery standard.
