Product overview
8-Core FTTx Termination Box for Feeder-to-Drop Distribution
This enclosure combines cable fixation, fiber splicing, optional passive splitting, protected routing and drop-side distribution within one serviceable FTTx node. A hinged front cover and flip-up distribution panel provide access to the adapter area, splice trays and cable-management space without removing the mounted base.
Network function
Use the box where an incoming feeder or distribution cable transitions to subscriber drop fibers. The internal layout manages main-cable fixation, splice protection, pigtail routing, adapter presentation, PLC placement and stored fiber for compact FTTH or FTTB nodes.
Configuration at a glance
The 8 CORE model uses a black PP housing with IP65 protection. It measures 281.4 × 177 × 80.3 mm, supports a maximum capacity of 36, accepts incoming cable up to Φ12 mm, and accommodates 2 × 3 mm drop cables.

Design details
8-Core FTTx Fiber Optic Termination Box Selling Points
Each feature below links a documented structure or performance value to installation, service or procurement decisions.
8-Core Distribution Format
The 8 CORE model gives planners a defined feeder-to-drop distribution scale for compact FTTH and FTTB nodes. Keeping the adapter count, splice count and working fibers separate in the BOM prevents the eight-core interface from being mistaken for the manual's separately listed maximum capacity of 36.
Fully Enclosed PP Housing
The black PP housing uses an enclosed hinged structure and carries an IP65 ingress rating. This provides a stated dust and water-jet protection boundary for indoor or outdoor access points, while project specifications can separately address impact, flame, UV exposure or continuous immersion where those conditions apply.
Separated Fiber Routing Paths
Main cable, pigtails and patch cords follow dedicated internal routes, and the distribution panel flips upward for access to the tray and storage area. Compared with routing every fiber through one open compartment, the separated layout reduces disturbance to organized fibers during inspection, splicing or port service.
SC, LC and PLC Accommodation
The manual identifies cassette-type SC/LC adapter installation and space for PLC integration. This lets the enclosure be configured around the project's connector family and passive split architecture, provided the RFQ defines the adapter format, polish, pigtails, PLC ratio, package dimensions, lead lengths and port map.
Defined Optical Interface Limits
The listed interface values are insertion loss ≤0.2 dB, UPC return loss ≥50 dB, APC return loss ≥60 dB and more than 1,000 insertion/extraction cycles. These values give procurement a measurable connector boundary; PLC splitter loss must remain a separate acceptance item.
Three Documented Mounting Methods
The 281.4 × 177 × 80.3 mm enclosure can be wall-mounted, secured to a telecom pole with a pole ring, or attached to an overhead support with chassis hangers. One housing can therefore serve several access-node placements when the correct bracket, fasteners and cable support are included.

Network placement
8-Core FTTx Fiber Optic Termination Box Applications and Solutions
The enclosure fits compact access nodes where protected splicing, adapter presentation and optional PLC integration must share one indoor/outdoor housing.
FTTH Last-Mile Distribution
A basic splice box may protect joints but leave adapter presentation, drop routing and passive splitting in separate housings. This 8-core FTTx fiber optic termination box combines these functions in a PP IP65 enclosure with independent cable, pigtail and patch-cord paths. Install it at a feeder-to-drop transition on a building exterior or neighborhood access route. It accepts a main cable up to Φ12 mm and 2 × 3 mm drop cable. Before ordering, confirm working fibers, splice allocation, SC/LC interface, connector polish, PLC ratio, cable entries and port numbering.
FTTB and MDU Building Access
Oversized distribution cabinets can consume corridor or façade space and leave most capacity unused at a small building node. The 281.4 × 177 × 80.3 mm enclosure uses a flip-up distribution panel and internal tray stack to organize the feeder, splices and subscriber-facing fibers. Mount it on a wall at the FTTB riser entry, MDU service area or exterior handoff. Match the SC or LC adapters to the building pigtails and patch cords. Procurement should confirm mounting-hole pattern, wall fasteners, fire requirements, fiber count, adapter quantity, drop profile and sample routing.
Pole-Mounted Outdoor FTTx Node
Selecting a box without a defined pole method can leave the bracket, cable load and service orientation unresolved in the field. This PP IP65 terminal supports pole mounting with a pole ring and keeps main cable, pigtails and patch cords on separated paths. Place it on a telecom pole at a small FTTH branch or rural distribution point, with the Φ12 mm incoming-cable limit and 2 × 3 mm outlets matched to the route. Before procurement, state pole dimensions, ring or bracket set, cable support, SC/LC format, PLC configuration, sealing plan and access clearance.
Aerial OSP Distribution Route
Improvised attachment of a wall box to an aerial messenger can transfer cable movement into the enclosure and leave fall protection undefined. The documented overhead arrangement uses two chassis attachment points secured to the support wire, while the enclosed internal structure protects the splice, adapter and stored fiber areas. Use it on an aerial FTTx distribution route upstream of 2 × 3 mm subscriber drops. Buyers should confirm messenger dimensions, hanger hardware, orientation, wind and cable loads, slack support, incoming-cable OD, port map, connector polish and any environmental requirements beyond IP65.
Installation methods
Wall, Pole and Aerial Installation Guidance
Select one documented mounting method and include its hardware in the approved project BOM.
Wall Mounting
Mark four holes from the approved mounting dimensions, drill the wall, fit the specified 7.5 × 40 mm expansion bolts, align the enclosure base and tighten the fasteners. Confirm wall material, hole depth, corrosion exposure and opening clearance before work begins.
Pole Mounting
Secure one pole-ring set around the telecom pole and fasten the enclosure to the ring assembly. State the pole diameter, ring size, band material, box orientation and cable-support method before ordering the accessory package.
Aerial Mounting
Attach the two chassis hanger positions to the overhead support wire and secure the assembly with the specified bolts. Confirm messenger compatibility, fall restraint, cable loading, slack support and local aerial-plant installation requirements.
