MultiPort Flex Splitter Terminal with Supertap Connectors
Outdoor pre-connectorized fiber access terminal for FTTH / ODN networks
The MultiPort Flex Splitter Terminal with Supertap connectors combines optical splitting and factory-terminated drop connections for outdoor FTTH access networks. The published range lists 1×2, 1×4, 1×8, 1×12 and 1×16 PLC options, plus 1×2 coupler configurations, with an IP68 rating. Flexible connector leads suit compact boxes and telecommunications handholes; select the splitter circuit, matching SC/APC hardened interface and lead lengths for the planned distribution point.
Product Line: Pre-connectorized Fiber Access Terminals

MultiPort Flex Splitter Terminal Features
PLC Split Ratios for Subscriber Distribution
The published PLC range covers 1×2, 1×4, 1×8, 1×12 and 1×16 configurations. Select the output count against the planned subscriber group and the available optical budget. The two original structure drawings below illustrate the 1×2 and 1×4 versions.
Defined 1×2 Coupler Configurations
The optical table separately lists 10/90, 20/80, 30/70, 40/60 and 50/50 couplers. These ratios determine the allocation of optical power between two branches. Confirm the circuit and labelled ports before using an unequal coupler in a local-drop or downstream distribution design.
Factory-terminated SC/APC Connections
Factory-terminated, polished connectors provide the connection points for matched drop assemblies. SC/APC identifies the optical interface and polish; the Supertap housing has its own mechanical mating requirements. Confirm the connector part, keying, locking and sealing arrangement against the installed network.
Flexible Leads and Custom Stub Lengths
The compact body and flexible connector leads support routing within small boxes and telecommunications handholes. A custom-length, splice-on stub can be specified. Confirm whether the feeder end must remain splice-ready or be supplied with a connector, and approve the complete lead-length drawing.
IP68 Environmental Protection
The terminal has a stated IP68 environmental protection rating. Confirm the required assembled condition, mating parts, unused-port sealing and applicable test conditions for the installation. Include these details with the approved configuration and inspection requirements.

FTTH Applications and Deployment Planning
FTTH Subscriber Drop Distribution
An outdoor distribution point needs a defined split plan as subscribers are added. This terminal combines a selected PLC circuit with factory-terminated connection leads, providing the interface between the distribution fiber and matched subscriber drop assemblies. Position it in the planned access box or telecommunications handhole, with enough room to route each lead and reach the mating connector. Before ordering, confirm the split ratio, active and reserved outputs, feeder termination, drop connector model and total path loss. Count the splitter loss together with the remaining cable and connection allowances in the project budget.
Compact Boxes and Telecommunications Handholes
Congested handholes leave limited space for a splitter body, connectors and cable routing. The low-profile terminal and flexible leads allow individual connections to be positioned around the available space. Use the selected assembly at the outdoor fiber distribution node, connected to its approved feeder and drop cables. Check the complete drawing with mating plugs attached, since body size alone does not determine the space needed. Confirm lead lengths, cable bend limits, fastening arrangements and the required IP68 test conditions before fixing the installation layout. No minimum bend radius is specified in the supplied product data.
Staged Expansion at Existing Access Points
Adding outputs to an existing access point can introduce an extra split and additional connector joints. The PLC variants provide a choice of output counts, while the separately listed couplers support different power ratios when the network design requires them. Place the chosen assembly at the approved outdoor distribution node and match both the incoming interface and the existing customer drops. Before procurement, confirm the receiving parts, any conversion assembly, numbered output map and remaining optical budget. The complete circuit and interface drawing should identify any splice work still required at the feeder end.
Mobile-site use: For a proposed distribution-box-to-RRH or cell-tower link, confirm the required point-to-point or passive optical topology and equipment interfaces before specifying a splitter assembly.
