Fiber Optic Manhole

This is a Fiber Optic Manhole and well-designed solution for underground utility networks. We call it the GL46 SMC Modular Inspection Manhole. It is a key part of Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) projects and situations where multiple network operators need to share space.

It puts fiber distribution, splicing, protection, and smart monitoring into one strong box. We built it to handle the complex and dense needs of today's networks, like 5G connections, making it a solid choice for building smart cities.

Holds a Lot of Cables and You Can Add More

The inside uses a system of trays that you can add to. You can start with cables for 24 to 96 connections in one spot. If you need more, you can expand it to hold up to 576 fibers in total. This is perfect for growing networks, for 5G equipment, and for connections between data centers. For example, a project in Hangzhou used this to prepare for future network growth without digging up the street again.

Built Tough and Safe

We chose the SMC-F46 material because it's very strong. It handles the pressure from the ground above very well. It also doesn't conduct electricity and doesn't rust, which makes it safer for workers and protects the cables from bad stuff in the soil and water.

Smart Monitoring Inside

This is a special feature. We put a smart fiber sensor system inside it. This system can feel very small changes in shape or pressure, as small as 0.1 microstrain. It watches for problems like the ground settling or someone trying to break in. We combine this with smart software that can predict issues. Our data from field tests shows this can cut unexpected breakdowns by about 30%. This saves money and keeps the network running smoothly.
