Premium 1x2 Multimode Fused Fiber Coupler/Splitter with ST Connectors

In today's networks, fast and reliable data transmission is everything. We believe the true backbone of these systems is often built on dependable, high-performance passive components.
That's exactly what you get with our 1x2 Multimode Fused Fiber Coupler/Splitter. This compact device is built to split an optical signal efficiently, and it plays a vital role in modern LANs, FTTx projects, and precision instruments.
Product Overview & Design
This unit, which we commonly call a splitter, takes one input signal and divides it into two outputs. We make it using the proven fused biconical taper (FBT) method. This process is key for low signal loss and long-term reliability. The sensitive fused area is safely housed in a strong 3.0mm tube. Every port comes with ST/UPC connectors ready to use, making installation into your patch panels quick and secure. To fit your system, choose between 50/125μm or 62.5/125μm fiber types.

Detailed Technical Specifications & Performance
We offer two performance grades to match your needs and budget: Premium (P) and Standard (A). Both deliver excellent results.
Central Wavelength: It works best at the standard 850nm and 1310nm windows. Need a different wavelength? Just ask, and we can customize it.
Low Excess Loss: We keep loss very low. Our Premium Grade guarantees a maximum of only 0.4 dB. The Standard Grade is also strong at 0.7 dB. This means more usable light power for your link.
Precise Insertion Loss & Uniformity: We tightly control the light-splitting performance. For a standard 50/50 split, the Premium Grade typically loses only 3.6 dB per branch. Even better, the output power is very balanced between ports (uniformity as good as 0.4 dB for Grade P). This consistency is crucial for stable system operation.
High Directivity: With directivity better than 40 dB, it effectively blocks back-reflections. This protects your source and keeps the signal clean.
Built to Last: It operates reliably from -20°C to +70°C and can be stored in temperatures from -40°C to +85°C. So, it works in a controlled data center or a tougher industrial site.

Why Choose Our Coupler?

Wide Compatibility: It supports the main multimode wavelengths. This makes it a flexible choice for various equipment and future needs.
Proven Stability: The all-glass, fused design has no moving parts. We trust this construction for outstanding stability over time. It resists vibration and humidity changes very well.
Compact and Flexible: The 3.0mm size is great for high-density installations. We also provide different pigtail options (250μm bare fiber, 0.9mm tube, or 2.0/3.0mm cable) to simplify your cabling work.
Performance You Can Count On: Every unit is tested against our strict specs. You get predictable, repeatable performance in your network.
Where It Fits in the Industry

ODN Solution

Data Center Solution

FTTA Solution
In my experience, this 1x2 Fused Fiber Coupler works well in many modern settings. For telecom companies rolling out FTTH, it offers neat termination points that simplify managing networks in apartments or business complexes. In 5G fronthaul, it delivers the dense connectivity needed to link radio units to baseband units with little signal loss.
For data center links, it handles complicated fiber layouts while keeping signal quality high across many connections. And in Industrial IoT setups, its reliability and environmental toughness make it a good fit for sensors, controllers, and automated systems in factories.
Ordering and Customization
Ordering is straightforward. Just use our clear code: MMC-w-a-b-e-f-c-d. For example, MMC-850-1x2-P-50/50-62.5-1-FU means a Premium Grade, 1x2, 50/50 splitter at 850nm on 62.5/125μm fiber with 0.9mm pigtails and FC/UPC connectors. You can customize the wavelength, split ratio, fiber, pigtail, and connector type (like SC, FC, or no connectors).
We stock this product for fast delivery and welcome bulk orders. As a committed partner, we stand by our quality. We're even confident enough to offer free samples for your evaluation. For a robust and high-performance foundation in your multimode network.
